The second collab between Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg, War of the Worlds opened OTD 2005. Despite a 🤡 take from segments of the media, suggesting that Cruise's behavior during the buildup to the film's release "hurt" its boxoffice, WOTW grossed more than $600 million.
